About Tim rovik
Tim Rovik has owned a local family business for over thirty years, where all of their children learned how to work with their hands. His kids worked along side him during the summers and through the years when they were not pursuing their own aspirations. Currently his oldest son still works for the family business.
Throughout their years of raising their children, Tim and his wife were active in their kids education and activities. They encouraged their kids to read daily, helped to monitor homework and asked their kids to do their best work. Each child had different interests and learning styles and so they tried to accommodate this to help them each learn.
Many hours over the years were spent at Gordon Elementary, North Kitsap High School, Kingston Middle School and Kingston High School band and choir concerts, traveling and cheering their kids on at sporting events, attending teacher-student conferences, chaperoning a band trip, volunteering. This past Spring Tim and his wife attended KMS cross country meets and band concerts for their oldest grandson.
The last few months Tim has been attending school board meetings, talking with parents and teachers in our community, researching how to improve our schools and our current district record.
Tim’s Educational History
Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors degree and then acquired his Masters degree from a seminary outside Chicago, Illinois. He completed a nine month internship working in college ministry with Western Washington University students.
Tim Rovik and his wife Paula have lived in Poulsbo for nearly three decades. They have four adult children, three of whom graduated from the North Kitsap School District. Now, four of their six grandchildren attend two different NK schools. This is why Tim decided to run, to make a difference in our district, to make NK schools work well for all of our children.
